CATHY FREEMAN RUNS WITH THE 'SORRY' PACK
Greatly admired, part-aboriginal, Australian Olympic runner, Cathy Freeman, recently made headlines across Australia and internationally when she claimed that her grandmother had been removed from her parents "because she had fair skin". A few years ago Sir Ronald Wilson compiled a report called Bringing Them Home based on interviews with mixed race aboriginals who claimed they had been forcibly removed from their families as part of a 'social engineering' program. It is claimed that they are part of 'The Stolen Generation'. The only problem seems to be that evidence of a 'Stolen Generation' cannot be found. It would seem that most of these children - all of mixed-blood - were separated because their well-being and often their life was endangered by full-bloods who rejected them. Others were separated and sent to boarding schools, not just with the consent of their parent(s) but often at THE REQUEST of their parent(s). To examine this issue, discuss the facts, expose the deficient arguments and brazen untruths that the left is propagating: Former Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, The Honorable Mr Peter Howsen, and Australia's hardest hitting media analyst and writer, Gerard Jackson, editor of The New Australian.
